Mission générale

  • Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the Head Office teams in Paris, the Business & Operations Manager is in charge to support the commercial strategy and to monitor the Operations and Finance processes.

Principales activités

1. Financial responsibility

- Manage the P&L and work closely with Finance department (Paris) in order to provide the deliverables and achieve the financials target
- Ensure Comptoir Oriental de la Parfumerie (COP) and Hermès Parfums P&L consolidation
- Monitor daily expense follow up and monitoring (+ reconciliation with COP)
- Manage and enhance the P&L of each client
- Build and challenge the budget and re-estimate on a quarterly basis
- Build and challenge the 3-Year plan
- Contribute to improve profitability of each customer in the area: optimization of A&P by customer or by line or by type of expense
- Follow-up of daily and monthly sell in by customer and by line + MOPO monthly sell out panel follow up and consolidation
- Monthly report to headquarters
- Analyse and challenge investments capex payback for each new or renewed POS
- Contribute to monthly / quarterly closings (accruals)

2. Operations responsibility

Mid/Long term forecasting:
- Manage forecasts template and process, in collaboration with Marketing Manager
- Analyze and challenge market monthly forecasts on novelties, promotion, limited edition & POSM. Provide feed-backs to the central operation team
- Play a key role in collaborative forecast process with central operation team to improve forecast accuracy and to understand & analyze the gaps between budget and forecasts

Short term forecasting:
- Follow and challenge monthly forecast achievement on novelties, promotion limited edition & POSM in order to reach an overall achievement of 97%

Sanitary registrations:
- Create a regional database and follow up format
- Ensure proper and on-time product registration in all local markets (except COP)

- Manage claims and returns/destructions

- Define pricing strategy every year in collaboration with the Managing Director
- Issue price lists and POSM forms

Profil du candidat

  • Master Degree educated
  • 2-5 years’ experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proactive and flexible
  • Highly organised team player
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong IT capabilities including: MS Office, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, TM1
  • An experience in perfumes and cosmetics would be an asset
