Mission générale

  • The sales Associate’s responsibilities include:
  •  Being the customer’s first impression of Hermès image and singularity, which means conveying warmth, courtesy, elegance and simplicity.
  •  Developing the sales in his/her sector, always keeping in mind the quality of products and the excellence of service that Hermès wishes to give to its customers,
  •  Communicating enthusiasm for the Hermès products and for their intrinsic value (quality, beauty, usefulness, product history, details of craftmanship...).

Principales activités

1-Sales responsibilities:

DELIVER THE PERFECT SELLING CEREMONY
 To welcome the customer with a smile, to make eye contact, and to try to acknowledge him/her as soon as he/she has entered the store in such a way as to make him/her feel that his/her presence has been noticed and is welcome,

 To take charge of the customer as soon as possible by leading him/her in the direction of what he/she is looking for,

 To make the customer feel comfortable by initiating a conversation that allows him/her to express the reasons for his/her visit to the store,

 To proactively ask open questions. Questions must be both about visitor personal background (interests, travels ...) and about products wishes (what, for who, to use where, when, what style, which occasion, size, colour..)

 To take time to talk about Hermès specificity (Craftsmanship / Heritage / Creativity / Exclusivity / Theme of the year),

 To take time to talk about the product’ advantages (material, colors, finish, manufacturing process...) and its background (date of creation, anecdotes about its origins). This does not mean to persuade the sale at all costs, but more to seduce the customer in associating the advantages of the product with the desires and needs of the customer,

 To invite the customer to touch and try the product and show enthusiasm for the customer’s choice,

 To be able to convince and ease the client's decision (convincing but never pushy - genuine and comforting - asking further questions to help selecting the right items)

 To complete the administrative formalities, at the conclusion of a sale, prior to the customers settling of the bill, and to take the customer’s data (address, e-mail, phone number) to add it to the client file,

 To do additional sale : not being satisfied with the sale of one product, but to direct the customer towards other articles, as well as towards other departments ; suggesting additional and complementary products,

 To accompany the customer to the cash-desk, making sure that he/she does not have too long a wait, and overseeing if possible the correct running of the cash-desk,

 To thank the customer for his/her visit in a natural and sincere manner, and if the time allows, to go woth him/her to the door.

2-Administrative and other responsibilities:

Under the Store Manager’s authority, to oversee:

 That the store is well stocked.
 That the store is always merchandised perfectly, and that the products are returned to their place after having been shown to a customer,
 In the case of a difficult sale or a delicate after-sales problem, to refer automatically to the Store Manager’s decision,
 To follow the procedures concerning :
o till & payment,
o CRM,
o in store safety of the persons and goods,
o exchanges, returns,
o repairs and after sale,
o stocktake & inventories...

 To participate in morning meetings organized by the Store manager,
 To tell about problems which came up, either within the team or in customer relations,
 To propose ideas for improving the daily running of the store,
