An alliance of talents

A harmony between métiers

A creator, manufacturer and trader of high-quality objects of exceptional craftsmanship, Hermès is a
mosaic of men and women from a vast variety of
professional backgrounds, all united by the same
respect for the crafts and a love of a
job well done. All artisans are, in their own way, driven by the vital spark of creation that keeps the house alive in all of its métiers: around the collections, in the manufactories, close to the clients, in support of others.

Close to the clients

As ambassadors and narrators of the Hermès world, the company’s merchants are the representatives of Hermès’s singularity.
They help to spread the word of the company
to our clients and partners worldwide.
They are the salespeople, the department managers, the store managers, commercial directors, area managers, as well as the security guards, cashiers… They all share the same sole aim: to make our clients’ lives more beautiful.

Store Manager

Store Manager

As Hermès Ambassador to their store’s customers, the store manager is in charge of their local business. Their rich and varied responsibilities call on multiple talents:
As a manager, they lead the sales team, motivate them and stimulate their appetite for business development and customer service.
As a buyer, they have direct responsibility for purchasing and for the product range and inventory available in the store.
As a seller, they welcome local and international customers so that everyone feels at home.
As a communicator, they promote Hermès locally on a daily basis, and at public relations events they organize for customers.
They have an international profile and a mastery of several languages. Their product sense, customer service, strong interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as their real managerial fibre are crucial to success in this key role within Hermès.
